Matlab tutorial windows#
Macintosh, and Windows environments a student version of MATLAB is available for personal computers. There are many different toolboxes available which extend the basic functions of MATLAB into differentĪpplication areas in these tutorials, we will make extensive use of the Control Systems Toolbox. Once your assignment has been printed, you can close Maple and log off. Also, keep in mind that printing in the MLC computer lab costs $0.05 per page. Make sure that the selected printer is 'HP Laser Jet 4250', then press print. Once you are finished with your assignment, go to File->Print. Once finished with these tutorials, select and go through any addition help materials related to what your assignment requires. It would be a good idea to go through the tutorials that cover information related to the class that requires Maple. In the left hand side of this window is a list of folders, click on 'Getting Started', and then click on the sub-folder 'Tutorials'. This opens up a window titled 'Maple 13 Help'. Once Maple is open, select Help->Maple Help from the top of the screen. Open this folder and launch the program 'Maple 13'. Find the folder called 'Mathematical Software' on the desktop. Log into your ONID account on one of the computers in the computer lab. Once you are finished with that, close MATLAB and you can then log off. Then select print for print your assignment. Make sure the selected printer is 'HP Laser Jet 4250'.
Regardless of which option you choose, once you finish formatting your assignment, go to File->Print. Then you can delete the blank lines, resulting in a lot less paper used. Copy and paste the MATLAB document into notepad. Due to how much white space there is in MATLAB though, this will use quite a bit of paper, and since printing in the MLC computer lab costs $0.05 per page, there is a more eco-friendly option. The first option is to simply print from MATLAB.
Matlab tutorial code#
Once you are finished with your assignment, and have the code that needs to be turned in correctly, you have a few options. These are not neccessarily videos, and may simply be walkthroughs. After watching the first few introductory videos, you can look for tutorials specific to the type of work you need to accomplish with MATLAB and run through those. The videos have audio, so please use headphones so that you do not disturb anyone else in the computer lab. Start by watching the first few videos under 'Getting Started'. Click the '+' next to it to show all of the MATLAB tutorials by subject.
On the left hand side of this window is a section titled MATLAB. The MATLAB Demos window will open up this screen contains all of the tutorials for MATLAB. In the largest section in the middle, type in 'demo' and press enter. Once MATLAB is open, you will notice that the screen is divided into multiple areas. Open this folder and launch the program 'MATLAB 2009a'.
Matlab tutorial how to#
If you would prefer to use a computer outside of the MLC computer lab, certain steps may be slightly different, such as where the program is located on that computer and how to print your finished assignment(s). These applications should be installed on most, if not all, computers located on campus.
These instructions are specifically for using MATLAB and/or Maple on machines located in the MLC computer lab.
